The aunty in me

Today marks the 3rd month of me as Mrs Sia.  Life has been good and if there is anything I would complain about is the never ending housechores! (Anyone else?!) There is always something to wash, something to clean and something to fix. T______T  Kenny did suggest to get a helper but I am against that idea. I want a homely nest and keeping our nest clean is something that a wife does (with that I mean I do 80% of housework and him 20% hahahahaha). I'll feel useless if we hire a maid at the beginning of our marriage cos she'll be taking away my roles.  Plus, it's just the two of us, we haven't got a kid yet, do we really need one?!  My thoughts: If my mom can do it without a maid, I can do it too! All I need is a bit more time to adapt and I think it's normal to go through some growth (and struggles LOL) and slowly, I'll settle in. That's how I learn, that's how I get better at it. So one evening, Mrs Sia went shopping for washing pow...

Wedding 101: My reviews of Mei Ling - the Makeup Artist (MUA)

Image
Updated: 24/4/2015 *Resuming from Wedding 101: How to pack your 'Kapit' (Bridal Luggage)? * When it comes to make up, I’m just hopeless. And every time I do my own make up, it’s giving me a lot of stress (believe it or not? Make up also give me stress *alamak!!*). The hardest part is to do the eye makeup. No matter how nice and even I colour my lids, once I open my eyes, they’re gone!  内双就是这样 *T___T * So I know, I really need a skillful Make Up Artist (MUA) on my wedding day. And since skillful means good and good means they get booked out fast! I hired ‘Mei Ling’ at the very early stage of my wedding planning. Actually, the correct spelling of her name is Mui Lin but you’ll often find her name appearing on the internet as ‘Mei Ling’. She has over 20 years of experience with Bridal Make up, she works with Pearl Studio and she also does freelancing. Her style of makeup trends towards natural looking with lots of details on the eyes! That is exactly what I need...

Cos I have goyang my kaki for 5 weeks liao, it's time to get back to Wedding posts! I was browsing through my wedding photos on my phone and I saw my 'Kapit' and i thought, okay, I'm gonna do this first before the older posts. Cool with that?  So, apparently, the word 'Kapit' is only native to Kuchingites, it means - 'Bridal luggage'! And before this, I didn't even know there are tips and traditions to follow! And I was feeling a bit stress cos I didn't set aside some budget to prepare my 'Kapit'. I remember telling myself, I must Blog about this!!  You're welcome! hehe =) When Mom brought me shopping, I thought I can get any luggage I want as long it's red in colour! Yap, I got it partially right!  Tip #1: Buy a RED luggage (or at least pinkish ) and the other part tha...

2009: He always comes in late to buy coffee. Jan 2010:   We met again, this time in his gym. April 2010: I became one of his Les Mills Instructor. Since then:  I have been thinking of him. *blush* Feb 2011: I took out tonnes of courage and asked him out on my birthday. 18th March 2011 : He kissed me. His heart was beating so fast he said the Barista gave me one shot, you gave me two! Over the last 3 years:  We did a lot of things together. We exercise together, we travel together, we run marathon together, we cuddle, we joke, we share every moment together and I know he is the one.  A man that is there for you on every ups and downs and accept you the way you are is a man that truly loves you. 9th September 2013: He knelt down on one knee and proposed. I said 'HARRR??? WHATT?? NOW??? before I said YES!!! lolol I know, such a silly ...
